Dolphin Show
The Barrier Island Eco Tour staff had a great day on the water in this chilly weather. The cold doesn’t seem to bother the dolphins. We had a great show today! Come get on a boat trip with us and see for yourself!
Summer is here!
Happy Memorial Day from Barrier Island Eco Tours! Summer is officially here and we’re ready to kick off our full summer schedule. We’re adding the Marine Biology Day Camp for kids, Blue Crabbing Excursion, All Inclusive Island Fun, and Creek Fishing to our regularly scheduled Dolphin Discovery Sunsets and Capers Wildlife Explorations.
We’ve had recent sightings of the Loggerhead Sea Turtle in the salt marsh creeks on our route, and will undoubtedly have many more through their summer nesting season. Just last week we spotted a Roseate Spoonbill across from Capers on a Sunset Cruise and it was amazing to see a pink bird hunting in the marsh and mud! Come join the fun and please blog about your recent experience on a Barrier Island Eco Tour!
Spring is in the salt marsh!
Spring is not only in the air, it’s also in the salt marshes and barrier islands! We’ve had daily sightings of bald eagles soaring through the skies and lots of female bottlenose dolphins with their calves. They must be enjoying this beautiful weather as much as we are! The sunset cruises have been awesome and the warm temperatures make boating a breeze. Come get on our boat and enjoy spring weather on the water with us!
